Who Runs Washington? New Poll Shows Americans Think It’s Drug Company Lobbyists

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: March 23, 2018

A new Kaiser Family Foundation Health Tracking Poll found an overwhelming 72 percent of people think the drug industry has too much influence in Washington, outpolling Wall Street and the gun lobby.

Ben Wakana, Executive Director of Patients For Affordable Drugs, released the following statement in response: “Drug company lobbyists pour millions into lawmakers’ pockets to buy bad policy that hurts Americans, but it looks like voters have figured it out. Too many families are forced to choose between filling a prescription and putting food on the table. Anyone who stands in the way of lower drug prices should be terrified of today’s results.”
