STAT News: Trump’s drug-pricing deals set to be tested by new product launches

Alyson Bancroft, the director of legislation, policy, and alliances at Patients for Affordable Drugs Now, said the secretiveness of the White House deals makes it impossible to tell which drugs are covered.

“At their core, the MFN deals between the administration and pharmaceutical companies are voluntary agreements that lack meaningful implementation or enforcement mechanisms,” Bancroft said. “It’s also concerning that the terms of most of these deals remain private, leaving us with major unanswered questions about the scope, impact, and durability of these agreements.”
